What is Osteopathy and how can it help?

At Maroondah Osteopathy & Sportscare in Ringwood North, our AHPRA-registered Osteopaths assess and manage musculoskeletal pain and movement problems, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports injuries and joint concerns. We provide evidence-informed, individualised care for patients from Ringwood North and surrounding eastern Melbourne suburbs.

Osteopathy focuses on improving movement, reducing pain and supporting physical function. Your osteopath will discuss your symptoms, medical history, work, lifestyle and activity levels before assessing posture, movement, joint mobility and muscle function. This helps guide a tailored management plan to support recovery and reduce the likelihood of recurring problems.

Living a Healthier Life

Releasing Tension

Osteopathy can help alleviate chronic pain conditions such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches by identifying and addressing the underlying structural imbalances that contribute to pain.

Postural
Assessment

This allows the therapist to identify any areas of strain or imbalance and develop a targeted treatment plan that addresses the root cause of the patient’s symptoms, improving function, alleviating pain, and enhancing overall health and well-being.

Enhanced Mobility

Osteopathy improves mobility by manipulating bones, muscles and connective tissues to release tension and align the body, leading to better flexibility and ease of movement.
