Women’s Health

Explore the benefits of Osteopathic treatment designed to support women’s health.

Supporting Women’s Health

Osteopathy for womens health offers a holistic approach through manual therapy, addressing specific women’s health concerns.

The use of real- time ultrasound machine, internal vaginal assessment (if required), gentle manipulation, stretching and massage with the goal of improving mobility, relieving pain and promoting overall wellness and quality of life. By considering the interconnections within the body, osteopathy facilitates natural healing and functional balance at various stages of a women’s life.

Real Time Ultrasound Machine

Using a real-time external ultrasound machine for pelvic floor assessment allows clinicians to visualise and evaluate the muscles and structures in the pelvic region dynamically, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of dysfunctions. This non-invasive technique provides immediate feedback, enabling more precise and effective interventions for pelvic floor conditions.

Our practitioners that can perform this include Emma (EP), Jaimi, Megan & Kate (Osteopaths).

WOMEN'S HEALTH

Pelvic Health

Pelvic health and pelvic floor concerns vary widely among individuals. While some encounter discomfort in their back, hips, coccyx or genital area, others may struggle with concerns with light bladder leakage, bowel issues or symptoms associated with pelvic organ prolapse.

Mastitis

Mastitis is an inflammatory condition of the breast (which can turn into an infection) if left untreated. The goal of mastitis treatment is to help move the inflammation away and out of your body via lymphatic drainage techniques.

Specialised Training

Jaimi has undergone specialised training in Women's Health and can complete both internal and external assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor. She has also undergone further training with the Melbourne Mastitis Clinic.
